Pyrone; Adoption Center
It is said that to encounter a Pyrone all one needs to do is look up.
Most of their nights are spent roosting in precariously high positions across Kayrth so they can enjoy all the sights the area has to offer.
At the first light of day, they fly into the horizon until they are too exhausted to continue and settle down in a new spot to observe their surroundings.
They seldom become lost due to an innate sense of direction and their curled feathers at the tips of their tails are sensitive enough to sense the slightest change in weather.
This sensitivity makes them invaluable navigators and weather predictors for any traveler, so much so that some voyages will change course depending on how a Pyrone is flying.
Pyrones love to travel and find new cultures and surroundings; a new experience to a Pyrone is worth more than any treasure.
They listen intently to those they encounter on their travels, collecting stories they are willing to share with any who will listen to them in turn.
One should always be cautious to check their pockets after listening to these tales, however; the Pyrone is cunning and rarely spins their stories for free.
As they are explorers, Pyrones value freedom above all else and dislike rules and authority both as flocks and individuals.
While they do not often involve themselves in the affairs of others during their travels, they have participated in wars to free caged birds, both literal and metaphorical.
Old Description;
Pyrones are beings at one with the air.
They spend almost of their time amongst the skies, from roosting in the highest points on Kayrth in the evening to tracing the lines between the far-away stars at midnight to greeting the sun from dawn to dusk.
The light feather curls on their tails and heads have the ability to sense minute changes in air pressure and the weather; combined with their eerily accurate sense of direction, their unique skillset means that having one around as a navigator is essential.
It also means that Pyrones have a tendency to be worldly travelers, unable to rest until they have flown over every corner of the sky and dined with every culture and celebrated with all the people under the heavens.
They will gather tales like others gather worries and are eager to share them with an attentive ear -- but beware that they are also clever and cunning, so listeners had best check their pockets before and after.
Freedom and all of its facets dictate the rules to live by for this race, and any sort of rules or conformity is frowned upon in their flocks.
It is not unheard of for them to take part in wars to set free caged birds.
